L’ex leader degli Yes, Jon Anderson, annuncia un nuovo album in studio dal titolo “True”, la cui pubblicazione è prevista il 23 agosto su etichetta discografica Frontiers Records. Il primo singolo uscirà a fine giugno, accompagnato da un video promozionale.
Forte del considerevole riscontro live con il suo attuale gruppo The Band Geeks, con il quale porta in tour la musica degli Yes, il cantante e compositore britannico, classe 1944, ha deciso di dare un seguito artistico a questa importante collaborazione.
“True” si compone di nove brani, le cui atmosfere e sonorità richiamano gli Yes degli anni settanta e dei primi anni ottanta. Time And A Word, The Yes Album, Fragile, Close To The Edge, Tales From Topographic Oceans, Relayer, Going For The One e Drama sono album che hanno contribuito a delineare le forme espressive del progressive rock, ampliandone di volta in volta i confini stilistici.
The Band Geeks è formata da un quintetto di talentuosi musicisti: Andy Graziano alla chitarra, Christopher Clark alle tastiere, Robert Kipp alla chitarra e tastiere e Andy Ascolese alla batteria. “True” è stato co-prodotto, registrato e missato dal bassista e direttore artistico Richie Castellano.
